Barcelona \u2502Dosen Program Studi S1 Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Negeri Makassar yang juga Tim IT FMIPA UNM, Ansari Saleh Ahmar, S.Si., M.Sc. berhasil meraih gelar Doktor pada Business School, Universitat de Barcelona, Spanyol dengan Ph.D. field: Mathematical Methods for Business, Finance and Insurance<\/em>. Dengan Promotor Dr. Eva Boj del Val melalui penelitian disertasi berjudul \u201cSutteARIMA is a New Approach to Forecast Economics, Business, and Actuarial Data\u201d,<\/em> Ansari mempertahankan disertasinya di hadapan penguji yang dilaksanakan secara daring pada Rabu (11\/05\/2022) dengan Predikat Cum Laude<\/em> dengan lama studi kurang dari 3 tahun.<\/p>\n

Dosen beranak dua tersebut \u00a0mengungkapkan bahwa metode peramalan yang selama ini dikenal perlu memiliki kebaruan yaitu dengan melakukan kombinasi metode untuk memperoleh tingkat akurasi peramalan yang lebih baik. Lebih lanjut, Dr. Ansari mengatakan bahwa SutteARIMA merupakan metode peramalan yang mengkombinasikan metode \u03b1-Sutte Indicator\u00a0 dengan ARIMA dan metode ini diperoleh dari hasil serangkaian ujicoba kombinasi pada 200 artificial data yang berupa data trend, non-trend, seasonal, non-seasonal, dan kombinasinya. SutteARIMA ini juga telah dipublikasi di publikasi ilmiah internasional bereputasi (Q1 dan Q2 pada Science Citation Index<\/em> Expanded<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Pencapaian dosen ini diharapkan dapat mendukung peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di Program Studi S1 Statistika. Lebih dari itu, nilai kebaruan yang dihasilkan dari disertasi Doktor tersebut juga menjadi pendukung dalam peningkatan kualitas penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat di Universitas Negeri Makassar, khususnya di lingkungan Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam.<\/p>\n
